DEC Programs

TAV offers various programs of study. We have several college DEC programs, which prepare you for entry to university. A DEC is a college-level diploma and is unique to Quebec. It stands for “Diplôme D’études Collégiales,” in the French language, or “Diploma of College Studies,” in the English language. It is granted by the Quebec Ministry of Education when a student successfully completes all the requirements of a CEGEP program. TAV College offers a range of high-quality programs within the disciplines of Sciences, Mathematics, Arts and Education.

Science DEC

As a pre-university program, the main objective of the science DEC is to equip the students to pursue university-level studies in pure and applied or health sciences.

Social Science

The Social Science program is intended to enable students to pursue university studies in the broad areas of social science, law, education, and administration.

Arts, Liturature & Communication

The program will allow the student to become familiar with the technologies of communication. Students in this program have an interest in the media, web interactivity and creativity.

Springboard to DEC

The Springboard program is designed for students who have successfully completed a high school program but are lacking prerequisites for admission to the program of their choice.

Early Childhood Education

An individual who has received a Early Childhood Education DEC works with children from 0 to 12 years old and can take part in daycare center management.

Special Care Counselling

The successful completion of the program allows students to acquire skills that will enable them to exercise the profession of a special care counsellor or a specialized educator.
